More About Jill Pomerantz
Hello my name is Jill. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing as a psychotherapist for over eight years. My professional satisfaction comes from working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples struggling with a broad range of issues. My areas of expertise are eating disorders, life transitions, challenging relationships, anxiety disorders, infidelity, divorce and an array of adolescent issues. If not appropriately addressed, these types of life issues may lead to symptoms of anxiety, depression and/or other psychiatric illnesses impairing one’s ability to thrive.
The primary element in psychotherapy is the relationship between the therapist and the client. I pride myself in my ability to provide an empathetic, genuine approach with unconditional positive regard for my clients. These characteristics are integral components of therapeutic change which are necessary to facilitate healing and growth. I encourage my clients to increase self-awareness, gain perspective, develop insight and learn new ways to cope with life’s challenges.
